What is your gold worth?
A market gold price is not yet an offer for your jewellery. The actual amount of gold and the properties of the item matter. Gemstones, different alloys and possible resale value as jewellery need to be considered separately.
How to calculate gold value per gram (German)Understand the calculation
10 grams of confirmed 585 gold alloy contain a calculated 5.85 grams of fine gold. For jewellery with stones, the total weight is not automatically the gold weight.

What can I bring for an appraisal?
You can present gold jewellery, damaged pieces, gold bars and gold coins. Bring available documents and matching parts. Whether an item can be purchased is determined after examining it.
Is the appraisal free?
Gold Ankauf Berlin offers a free appraisal. Have the result and any offer explained before you decide whether to sell.
Can jewellery without a receipt or hallmark be examined?
Missing documents or a hallmark do not rule out an initial examination. The material and fineness need to be established from the item. Bring a valid identity document for a possible sale.
Is the market gold price my payout?
No. A reference price is not a jewellery-buying offer. Gold content, relevant metal weight and any other values or costs need to be reflected in the specific offer.
Can I send gold by post?
A postal buying process is available. Before sending anything, agree on the shipping method, permitted value, cover and return arrangements. Not every parcel policy covers precious metals.
